Your skin is dappled in dark leaves
Shadows cast by the moon behind the trees
Windows cracked, lets in a cool breeze
Wondering what the hell's come over me
Should I follow my dreams or follow my heart
How you've torn them both apart
Moonlight, makin’ its way in
It's not what's bright that's keepin’ me awake
I close the curtains, shut the blinds
But they're busted and the fabrics thin
Nothin' lasts forever
It don't matter how well it's made
Should I follow my dreams or follow my heart
How you've torn them both apart
Should I follow my dreams or follow my heart
And I'm hopin' that you won't be woken when my engine starts
Oh, why
Won’t somebody please tell me why
I feel this way
All I know how to say is
I'm sorry, it’s over
I don't wanna talk about it
I'll be alright
It hurts when I'm sober
I don't wanna talk about it
I'll be just fine
But never has it ever been this hard to say goodbye
Should I follow my dreams or follow my heart
How you've torn them both apart
Should I follow my dreams
Or follow my heart
Take the lyrical bite of early Kacey Musgraves and the lush instrumentation of later Kacey Musgraves, bump up the atmospherics and add some amazing performances from the backing band, and make it somehow even catchier, and you have Desert Dove. Michaela Anne is carving a wonderful sound for herself in country, easy to get lost in and yet substantive and satisfying. Owen W
Each year the same story: My wife (handmade pop music) and I (black metal maniac) go on holiday. We need some "soft" but honest music for long car drives. It is a tough week in advance to dive deeply into musical scrap to find some pearls like MARGO PRICE! She presents easy going country pop, smooth and with pleasant vocals, reminding me sometimes even at Stevie Nicks. The title track is one of my favourites, but also the other songs are catchy and performed with smooth energy, H.L.
